Proper Shutdown Procedure

To ensure data integrity and safe handling of the Explore amplifier, always follow the correct shutdown procedure after a recording session. Improper shutdown may lead to incomplete data files or damage to the internal memory.

Standard Shutdown

  • Stop your recording session in Explore Desktop, Explore Mobile, or any third-party software.

  • Press and hold the amplifier’s button for approximately 3 seconds.

  • The LED will flash red three times, confirming shutdown.

  • Wait until the LED is fully off before disconnecting or storing the device.

Important Safety Notes

  • Always power off the amplifier before connecting it to a computer via USB-C. This prevents potential data corruption and ensures safe device operation.

  • Do not attempt to remove the battery or open the device casing. The amplifier contains no user-serviceable parts.

Best Practices

  • After shutdown, inspect the device for any visible damage or contamination (e.g., gel residues).

  • Recharge the amplifier immediately if the session was long, or at least ensure the battery is sufficiently charged for the next use.

  • Store the amplifier in its protective case to prevent mechanical damage.
