Charging and battery check
Before starting any recording, ensure that the Explore amplifier is sufficiently charged. Proper charging and monitoring of the battery status are essential for uninterrupted data acquisition.
Charging Procedure
Connect the amplifier to a power source using the supplied USB-C cable. The device begins charging automatically; no additional action is required. A full charge typically takes 1–2 hours, depending on the battery level.
|
Always disconnect the device from the power source before recording. The amplifier is not designed to operate while tethered to a charger. |
Battery Status Indication (LED)
-
Green LED (solid) – Battery sufficiently charged, ready for use.
-
Yellow LED – Medium charge; recharge recommended before long sessions.
-
Red LED – Low battery; recharge immediately.
-
No LED – Device powered off or completely discharged.
For more information, see LED Light Signals and Their Meanings.
Battery Life
Typical operation time: up to 10 hours (depending on number of channels, sampling rate, and use of wireless streaming). For long recordings or when using higher sampling rates, always start with a fully charged device.
Recommendations
Recharge the amplifier after every recording session to ensure reliable recording. Store the device partially charged if not used for extended periods (40–60% charge is ideal for lithium-polymer batteries). Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures during charging or storage.

Storage recommendations:
-
Store the device in a cool, dry environment
-
Avoid complete discharge of the lithium-polymer battery
-
For long-term storage, maintain a charge level of approximately 40–60%
