Mentalab × PLUX Research Innovation Challenge 2026

Bring neuroscience into the real world.

We are looking for an innovative research project that uses wearable EEG and multimodal biosignals to explore neuroscience beyond the traditional laboratory.

The goal

Support one innovative research project that demonstrates how wearable EEG and physiological measurements can enable new research in real-world, naturalistic, or semi-realistic environments.

How it works

  1. Develop your idea. Propose a research project using wearable EEG and additional biosignals.

  2. Prepare your application. Tell us about your:

    • Research question

    • Experimental approach

    • Participants and measurements

    • Feasibility and timeline

    • Expected impact and dissemination

  3. Submit your proposal. Download the application form, complete it, and submit it by email.

  4. We review the applications. Proposals are evaluated on scientific value, innovation, and feasibility.

  5. Selected project. The winning project receives access to Mentalab and PLUX equipment, and support for six months.

  • Optional figures
