Troubleshooting

Remember to remove all other Bluetooth devices from your Windows menu if you are using Windows OS. Disconnecting is not enough, they must be completely removed. Corded accessories, like mouse and keyboard, even if they have a Bluetooth adaptor, are fine.

The accelerometer measures gravitational acceleration (G: ~9.8 m/s/s) and the amplifier's relative acceleration. Most of the time, the acceleration of the amplifier relative to G is tiny, which means one accelerometer line will be offset by G. Which of the three lines is offset depends on the orientation of the amplifier.

The internal memory of your Explore+ amplifier is full. The Explore+ amplifier will refuse to record any more data while its memory is full. To solve this, either transfer the data from your Explore+ amplifier to a computer, or triple click your Explore+ amplifier. Triple-clicking the button will delete the internal memory of your Explore+ amplifier and allow you to start recording. See our Light Guide and Button Guide for more.

Alternatively, the amplifier's memory may be corrupt. This can happen if you connect the amplifier to a computer before switching the amplifier off. To fix this, turn off your amplifier and then turn it on again. As soon as the light indicates the battery level, begin doubling clicking the amplifier.

You can add Bluetooth capability to your computer using an inexpensive Bluetooth dongle that plugs into the computer's USB port. We provide a Bluetooth dongle with every shipment. However, if you would like to purchase one independently, we recommend this one.

Sometimes an Explore+ amplifier won't connect to a Windows system without the user disconnecting and reconnecting it. Doing this everytime you want to use your Explore+ amplifier is of course highly irritating. As such, we provide users with a Bluetooth dongle to circumvent this problem. To use the dongle, first remove your Explore+ amplifier from the Windows Bluetooth menu.

Disable your Bluetooth drive. The name of this drive will vary according to your system configuration.

Your in-built Bluetooth drive should now be disabled. The on/off option in the Bluetooth menu should now be disabled.

Plug in your Bluetooth dongle and connect your Explore+ amplifier via the Bluetooth dongle.

Open Settings -> Bluetooth & devices -> Devices -> Bluetooth devices discovery and select "Advanced". Your Explore+ amplifier should now display in the list of Bluetooth devices.
